Memories, Hopes, and Conversations: Appreciative Inquiry, Missional Engagement, and Congregational Change
– by Mark Lau Branson
The first part of this book deals with the change process, and the second part of the book tells the stories of congregations who have undergone changes. This book could be used by a Session to motivate and prompt thinking about change. In so doing, I would consider not beginning with the first part of the book but the second. The power the stories that are told help to shape the understanding of what it means to really makes shifts in how we embody ministry in as the church in this culture.
