Leading From Within: Poetry That Sustains the Courage to Lead

Much has been written about the topic of leadership. While I was doing my D.Min. work at Union in Richmond, one of the more valuable course I took was on the topic of leadership. While I learned many skills in that course and the experiences I have had, one of the real truths of leadership that I claim is that good leaders spend time being reflective on who they are and what they are doing.

This book offers an anthology of selections that can lead to fruitful reflection. As leaders in the church we bring together scripture, reflection, prayer, and life in community as the prompts that help us to discern how God is leading us to lead the community of the faith.
