Transforming Church: Bring Out the Good to Get to Great
– by Kevin G. Ford
This book about congregational transformation deals with so many themes that are now basic rubrics to how churches move and change. When I began ministry these were not commonplace themes. They include: being missional over cloistered, being in community over consumerism, and reinvention over inertia. This book is accessible to lay people but requires some translation into the way in which we Presbyterians govern ourselves and understand the role of clergy.
