I have come back to this work again and again. It has especially been useful as I consider troubled congregations. I have been sent to work with situations in conflict, and the perspective of congregations as emotional systems has been helpful in doing such work. I have used the last chapter in this book as a roadmap in surfacing the necessary issues that will lead to healing in a fractured situation. I recommend thinking through each of these when conflict arises (and before it as well).
